From the winemaker:
"The Pinot Noir and Gamay in this cuvée are from 100% estate grown grapes, expertly grown by our vineyard manager, Netanya Welch. Under the careful direction of our winemaker, John Faulkner, our grapes are fermented slowly with gentle extraction, and aged for 9 months in older barrels until bottled unfined, unfiltered, and with minimal sulfites.
The Evening Land Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir draws its strength and character from the iron rich clay ubiquitous throughout our vineyards; while our eastern exposure protects our grapes from the hot afternoon sun, preserving freshness on the palate. We recommend serving this wine gently chilled. It will pair with a wide range of cuisines.
Tasting Notes: Cranberry-ruby in the glass, the 2024 Eola-Amity Hills Pinot Noir is bursting with lifted aromas of boysenberry, black cherry, hibiscus, and blood orange. Thepalate is light on its feet and refreshingly bright, with vivid notes of fresh raspberry, orange pith, and a hint of spice. Energetic and finely detailed, this is a vibrant expression of Pinot Noir from the cool, wind-swept slopes of the Eola-Amity Hills."
