Classic Bordeaux nose with lots of cassis, lead pencil, ink and some earthiness. Plump and juicy on the palate with a medium to full body and silky tannins. Delicious, refined and really drinkable. Excellent length, too. An outstanding Haut-Medoc. Drink or hold.

A straightforward blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this wine is spicy from wood aging and juicy from black fruits. It comes from one of the largest vineyards in Bordeaux and is a ripe wine that needs to age. Drink from 2026.

The 2020 Larose-Trintaudon has a very austere nose that needs more fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with strict tannins, and dark berry fruit laced with graphite. This needs more complexity and charm on its slightly staid finish.
