The 2022 Chablis Les Vaillons Vieilles Vignes ler Cru, from 65-year-old vines, has a perfumed bouquet with red apple, yellow plum and melted candle wax scents, a little oilier than its peers but quite intriguing. The palate is well balanced with crisp acidity, fine concentration and ample focus, that citric thread of acidity upholding tension. Very fine. Tasted blind at the BIVB tasting in Chablis.
