Baker’s has been an impressive pour since its relaunch in 2019 as a single barrel bourbon but this older, limited release pushes the label to new heights. Rich and decadent in every facet, it opens with peanut brittle, pecan pie, and baked apples dredged in brown sugar. There’s oak and a bit of barrel char, but those drier notes sing harmony to the nutty lead. Water brings out apple turnovers and banana pudding, while the finish adds a bristly kick of cinnamon spice.
