Lightly toasty, firm and focused, this minerally Champagne layers a chalky underpinning with crunchy notes of green pear, preserved lemon and spring blossom. Disgorged December 2016. Drink now through 2020. 600 cases imported. - AN

The NV Brut Blanc de Blancs Cuvée Cuis 1er Cru is terrific. Bright and nervy, as these wines are, the Cuvée Cuis also has a good bit of depth to round out the contours. Lemon peel, almond and dried flowers all add nuance throughout. This is an especially open-knit edition of the Cuvée Cuis, which is just fine, as this wine can be a bit angular upon release. Dosage is 6 grams per liter. Disgorged: May 25, 2018.

The NV Brut Premier Cru Cuis makes a great introduction to the house style. White flowers, spices, pears and peaches are some of the notes that take shape in the glass. This is a fairly round, approachable style for Cuis, but it works, especially within the context of an entry-level wine. The Brut Premier Cru Cuis is a blend of vintages; 72% 2008, 13.3% 2007, 3.3% 2006,7.5% 2005, 3.9% 2004 to be exact. The wine was disgorged on June 30, 2011. Dosage is 8 grams per liter. Anticipated maturity: 2011-2014.

Based on the premier cru Chardonnay vineyards of Cuis, this soft and fresh wine is beautifully balanced. It has apple freshness, a tangy texture from minerality, and a bright and fruity aftertaste.
