Strawberries, sour cherries and bubblegum pop off the nose of this Chianti Classico, contrasted with notes of fresh grass, wild fennel and licorice. The palate turns almost to mint chocolate chip, with cherries, macerated wild strawberries and more coffee. Easy to love but not without mystery.

A delicate red, stitched with cherry, strawberry and floral aromas and flavors. Deceptively well-built, with the tannins sneaking up on the lingering finish. Sangiovese and Canaiolo. Drink now through 2028.

The 2020 Chianti Classico offers tart cherry on the one hand and crushed limestone on the other. Albeit informal and easy to drink, this wine delivers the goods. I like the freshness and those pretty aromas of crushed mint and blue flower. This is a massive 300,000-bottle production.

The 2020 Chianti Classico is an attractive, mid-weight offering. Hints of tobacco, cedar, dried flowers and incense give this gracious, silky Chianti Classico lovely aromatic nuance and complexity.
