"Caparra and Siciliani are two families with ancient agrarian traditions. Each one producing wine since the 19th century, they joined forces in 1963 to cultivate and promote the indigenous grapes of Ciro. Volvito is a particular area of Ciro, a cru for the locals. The best grapes are selected to produce the riserva giving the best expression of Gaglioppo. 12 months aging in small Allier oak casks. Aromas of ripe fruit with cocoa hints. Tannins are exciting, tasty, full-bodied. Suited to pork products, roast or braised meats and game."
