Bodegas Olarra Cerro Anon Gran Reserva 2011
Deep, dark robe, edged with ruby-colored glints. Delicate balance of aromas on the nose, where it opens with aromas of red fruits, with hints of smoke and other spices. The aromas become more complex over time, evolving to tobacco and leather.
This is a fully oaked gran reserva with gritty aromas of lemony wood resin, milk chocolate and tarry grit. A wide palate is more big than precise, while this tastes of gamy berry, oak spice and cardamom. A minty but light oak character on the finish suggests tobacco and complexity. Best from 2022 on.
