The 2019 Velenosi Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico is intense and vibrant from the get-go, with a fruity display that mixes sweet pear with lime. Then the wine evolves to show crushed stone minerality and wild herbs. It's round and pliant, giving up its ripe melon fruit generously while also maintaining energy and verve. At times salty, at other times sour with green citrus, yet at all times a highly enjoyable glass of Verdicchio.
