Finca La Celia Pioneer Malbec 2016
Deep purple red color with bright violet reflections. To the nose we are reminded of licorice and balsamic red fruit, like cherry, in perfect harmony with the delicate violets and oak notes: mocha, vanilla and toffee. The plate is intense. Its entrance is typical of Malbec, with sweetness, and strong, but elegant turn. Good balance of tannic structure, alcohol and acidity.

Wine AdvocateProduced with fruit from La Consulta and Altamira, the 2016 Pioneer Malbec is fresh, bright and has some iron and beef blood aromas. It's elegant, balanced, harmonious and nicely crafted, with a velvety texture and fine-grained tannins. It has a dry and tasty finish. Affordable, pleasant and a good introduction to the place, grape and vintage. 120,000 bottles produced.
Wine EnthusiastRubbery black-plum and black-currant aromas lead to a plump palate that's light on structure and grip. Jammy plum and blackberry flavors are good in a generic sort of way. A round finish fades away without intensity.
