Moët Impérial is the House's iconic champagne. Created in 1869, it embodies Moët & Chandon's unique style, a style distinguished by its bright fruitiness, its seductive palate and its elegant maturity. An elegant color, golden straw yellow with green highlights. A sparkling bouquet, the vibrant intensity of green apple and citrus fruit, the freshness of mineral nuances and white flowers, the elegance of blond notes (brioche, cereal, fresh nuts). A generous palate combining sumptuousness and subtlety, the delicious sumptuousness of white-fleshed fruits (pear, peach, apple), the alluring caress of fine bubbles, the soft vivacity of citrus fruit and nuances of gooseberry.

Wine SpectatorBright and balanced, featuring a fine, lively bead, mouthwatering acidity and a lightly toasty profile of poached pear and black currant flavors, with rich hints of lemon curd and pastry cream. Drink now through 2020.

Wine EnthusiastWell balanced, this Champagne, even with its enormous production, remains a benchmark and is always enjoyable. In this bottling, ripe white fruit is cut with citrus, with an edge of toastiness that gives complexity. Drink now.

Wine AdvocateMoët's white golden NV Impérial Brut is an assemblage of equal parts of Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier (30% to 40% of each) and a smaller proportion of Chardonnay. Bright and fresh fruit aromas of yellow apples, ripe pears and lemons, along with floral flavors and a hint of stones and almond croissant lead to a medium-bodied, elegant, pretty intense and well structured palate; it has nice freshness and generous fruit. The finish reveals a stimulating grip and a moderate sweetness (dosage is nine grams per liter). Very good and less sweet than in former years. (Lot LAI2C)
