15 months in French new oak barrel. Plus 90 year old vines. Fleshy, full red fruit tasted, with a black licorice finish.
Pair with gamey type meat or a peppered beef tenderloin.
Aromas of generic berry fruits, vanilla, wood grain and raisin lead to a flush palate that's slightly abrasive and tannic. Woody, spicy plum and berry flavors finish with dry tannins and smoldering oak.
