Caffo Anisette di Calabria
Anisette di Calabria is a fine, sweet liqueur which was produced as early as the Fifties by Fratelli Caffo in their distillery. Today, they are still distilling it in an ancient, copper alembic, using seeds and the tops of two varieties of anise which, blended with rare spices, give an unbeatable aroma.
Wine EnthusiastMade from Cala-brian black anise, this clear, aromatic liqueur seems almost neutral at first sip. Before long, lingering notes of warm star anise, lemon peel, menthol and black pepper emerge.
