Loredan Gasparini Capo di Stato 2007
Deep ruby red, the Capo di Stato is one of the most renowned Italian wines and as such it shows a very elegant and complex structure. The nose introduces aromas of very ripe fruit, such as blackberry and black currant, toasted hazelnuts and dried rose petals - all blended together with hints of dewy musk and sweet spices. Full-bodied, chewy, with layers of massive tannins, clean and well balanced, this wine shows a silky texture on the very long finish with a soft little touch of liquorice. A perfect match for grilled meats, wild game, flavorful pastas or risottos and most of the sophisticated creations of international cuisines.
