Chateau Pre Du Roc Bordeaux 2014 BottleLocated in the heart of Bordeaux, the Pre du Roc estate has been run by the Requier family for three generations. The wine, a 60/40 blend of Cabernet and Merlot, shows a nice amount of acidity up front with notes of cherry, cinnamon, savory herbs and a hint of leather. It is crafted in a lighter style, which makes it extremely versatile in terms of food pairings, and at its price point it is a terrific value as well.
Bodegas Juan Gil Monastrell Silver Label 2014Deep purple/black color. Explosive aromas of ripe currant, red berries and smoked notes. Rich, powerful and voluminous on the attack, a huge mouthful of crème-de-cassis concentration, silken and juicy in the mid-palate with excellent length and persistence. Fine, ripe tannins, at once supple and structurally present. Food pairings: Rices with meat, stewed meat, stewed vegetable, mushroom, poultry, sauces fish, smoked seafood, blue and cured cheese, red meat, roast and baked meat.
Broken Earth Quadrant Platinum BDX Bordeaux Blend 2010This Bordeaux style blend offers ripe fruit with a luxurious texture. The components of this wine each offer their best assets and showcase beautifully together. The Merlot base creates the foundation for its medium body that lends itself nicely to a multitude of food pairings. The Cabernet Sauvignon brings the richness of such dark fruits as blackberries and blueberries. Dive deeper into the unending layers of this wine and you'll find the Petit Verdot offers you the velvet soft tannins you're looking for. Beyond that, you'll notice the Petite Sirah, though only a small percentage of this wine, is the powerhouse that gives this blend its gorgeous garnet color and long lasting finish. As always, our wines are meant to be shared with good food and great friends. Enjoy!
Le Caniette Morellone Rosso Piceno 2008The great painter Michelangelo gave the name morellone to his darkest red color and it is only fitting that this name be applied to this intense, almost impenetrable, ruby red wine. A blend of Montepulciano (70%) and Sangiovese (30%), Morellone displays an intense bouquet of forest berry fruit along with vegetal notes and spice. The Fruit is backed by some acidity and well balanced with smooth tannins on the finish. Pairs well with rich meals, grilled or stewed red meats, and aged cheeses.
Poggiobello Friuli Colli Orientali Friulano 2012More than any other, this wine truly expresses the territory for which it was named. In fact, in Friuli, 'the Friuliano' (which used to be called Tocai) is practically a synonym for white wine. Previously known as 'Savignonassa', due to its similarities to Sauvignon, it is destined to become standard bearer for enology in Friuli.
Chalk Hill Sonoma Coast Chardonnay 2013Our 2013 Sonoma Coast Chardonnay is light golden in color and displays expressive fruit aromas of yellow apple, lemon curd and a nice minerality. The bouquet is further complexed by toasted bread, marzipan, and crème brulee with an oak finish. This Chardonnay is quite elegant with its mineral style, akin to a White Burgundy on steroids! Fruit forward and a rich textural body make this complex wine a real crowd pleaser and the fruit is reined in by good acidity and lemon zest.
Newton Red Label Chardonnay 2014The grapes used to make our Red Label wines are sourced from select vineyards throughout Napa Valley, from Los Carneros to Chiles Valley. Every year, we select grapes with a specific characteristic that will allow us to achieve the desired flavor profile of the final blend and create continuity vintage to vintage. No wallflower, this wine has bold enough flavors to be paired with a wide range of dishes. Some of our favorites are Chinese chicken salad, barbecued shrimp, grilled artichokes and soft cheeses such as brie and Havarti. Serve and enjoy this wine now or cellar it for 2 to 3 years to allow it to develop richer character.
