Dalwhinnie Distiller's Edition Single Malt Scotch (Highland)

Distiller's Note:

2006 Dalwhinnie double-matured in ex-bodega Oloroso cask wood for a rich sweetness and spicy complexity to enhance the heathery, honeyed aromas and tastes of the regular release. Part of our Distillers Edition range.

Nose: Fresh notes of Oloroso embrace malty, honeyed Dalwhinnie. Peaty and still heathery. Spicy yet grapey.

Palate: A big, spicy buzz, with very clear, well defined malt. A quick burst of sweetness then rich and grapey.

Finish: Tons of oak. Very, very dry, with vanilla dominating.
