This is a creamy style of wine. Its tropical aromas and smooth fruit are lifted by a crisper, youthful acidity.
The 2023 Château Fage shows a bit of reduction on the nose, however, there is more fruit and delineation compared to some of its peers. The palate is well balanced with a grippy entry, good density and backbone and a solid, blackberry- and tobacco-tinged finish. This is worth seeking out once in bottle.
