Arnaldo Caprai Montefalco Rosso is a wine that embodies the rich history and unique terroir of the Montefalco region in Umbria. What sets Montefalco Rosso apart is its deep connection to the land—the vineyards are carefully cultivated on the slopes of the Montefalco hills, where the combination of limestone and clay soils, along with the region’s favorable climate, results in wines of great balance and character.
In April, frost delayed blooming and reduced production, but the quality was still good. During the key ripening stages of the grapes, we had a good amount of rain which ensured a balanced concentration of perfumes and quality compounds, resulting in excellent complexity and aromatic and polyphenolic structure.
Tasting Note
Sensationally intense, with notes of wild flowers, violet and red berry jam. Full bodied, rich, dry with a long finish and delicate hint of spice.
